Unitelia vs ChatUm
ChatUm — Ukrainian omnichannel-inbox product with 10 channels + light CRM (tasks, pipeline, SLA). Not a full CRM — it's a messaging layer that integrates with external CRMs (Kommo, KeyCRM — their official partners direct customers to ChatUm for omnichannel). Unitelia — same category scope (inbox + light CRM + tasks + SLA + mobile) plus AI worker as a tier or PAYG add-on. Wazzup24 — direct competitor to ChatUm; we compete with both.
Philosophical difference
ChatUm is built around the idea of "operator inbox with AI assistant". Each response goes through a person; AI makes the draft faster/better. This is a good approach for a team with 3+ operators, where quality matters more than speed.
Unitelia is built around the idea of "AI worker with operator on escalations". AI responds on its own in Auto mode, operator just reviews the audit log and only intervenes when needed. This works for a team with 1-2 operators (typical UA SMB), where speed and scale are critical, and 80% of DMs are routine "where's my TTN" / "in stock?" / "when's delivery?"
Feature-by-feature
When ChatUm is the better choice
- 3+ operators, quality critical. If you have a "luxury" CX team where every response needs manual touch, ChatUm is a natural fit. We're overkill.
- DM only, no operations. If TTN, returns, taxes are already solved (different team / different system), ChatUm covers exactly your DM scope without extra features.
- Strict no-AI-decisions policy. If internal policy / regulation requires a person to approve EVERY response — ChatUm enforces this by design. For us it's Semi mode (possible), but our whole product architecture revolves around autonomy.
When Unitelia is the better choice
- 1-2 operators, high DM volume. Typical UA SMB: one owner + 1 assistant, 500+ DM/week. Operator can't keep up. AI worker unloads 80%, escalates only edge cases.
- Cross-channel customer view critical. If customer writes in IG, then calls, then comments — you want one thread. With us — yes. With ChatUm — separate threads per channel.
- End-to-end operations. If AI needs to not just reply, but also generate TTN in Nova Poshta, process returns through WayForPay/LiqPay, generate ФОП-3 — that's our scope.
- Outcome billing. If it's critical to pay for results, not seats — we have $0.50/closed deal.
FAQ
I use ChatUm. Why consider Unitelia?
ChatUm is great if your use case is operator inbox for DM. You stay in loop, AI helps. With us — AI makes decisions in Auto mode, you just review the audit log. Different philosophies. If your bottleneck is operator capacity (1 operator can't handle 500 DM/day), Unitelia unloads. If your bottleneck is quality of operator reply, ChatUm works.
Is ChatUm cheaper?
Depends on volume. ChatUm — flat per-operator. We — flat tier + outcome. At small volumes ChatUm is cheaper. At volumes from 500 DM/week, outcome-billing often gives us better unit economics because you pay only for closed deals.
Can I import data from ChatUm?
Yes, via ChatUm CSV export → CSV import in dashboard/migrate. Conversation history + contacts + tags. AI-prompts and trust modes — set up new in our UI.
I want the operator to always approve. Is that possible?
Yes — that's our Semi mode (default). AI prepares draft, operator approves/edits/rejects. In this mode, the difference between us and ChatUm is that AI draft automatically pulls context from CRM (availability, TTN, past purchases), not just conversation history.
Can both work in parallel?
Technically yes, but creates duplicates. Better to cutover with 1-2 week overlap: new channel — Unitelia, old ones — ChatUm while you get comfortable with us, then full switch.
Try without a card
Starter — $0/month, 1 channel, 500 conversations. Put Auto mode on a test channel and see how many DMs the AI closes without an operator.
